Diligent Diver Gear Test: OrcaTorch TD01 Dive Headlamp

The Diligent Diver tests the Orca Torch Mazu TD01 dive headlamp in a dive on the USS Vandenberg wreck in the Florida Keys. The Vandenberg was built as a WWII troop carrier then shifted to cold war duties as a missile tracker. It was purposely sank off Key West in May 2009 and at 522 feet is now the second largest artificial reef in the world. A perfect place for light testing.

PRO: WELL-MADE, LONG BATTERY LIFE, QUICK COLOR SWITCH, HANDS FREE OPERATION

CONS: DIVE BUDDIES FACE BLASTED WHITE LIGHT
HEAD MOUNT NEEDS SAFETY LEASH

The Diligent Diver tests gear for the good of the dive community, is honest and objective, does not take payment for product testing -- and donates tested to gear to marine and environmental science non-profits.
